The recent Supreme Court ruling to uphold Arizona’s unpatriotic voter suppression law and the draconian behavior of the Texas Republicans both prove that the GOP is willing to destroy democracy if that’s what it takes to seize power.
Despite the overwhelming popularity of the voting rights and anti-corruption provisions in the For the People Act, not one GOP Senator voted in support of it.
Our democracy is at stake, and we can’t afford to wait to protect voting rights. That’s why I’m urging the Senate to do whatever it takes — including reforming the filibuster to secure voting rights before it’s too late.

The voter suppression bills being passed around the country in red states were conceptualized by the Heritage Foundation — a powerful right-wing special interest group funded by some of the wealthiest people in America.
Their plans are designed to lock in Republican power by shutting voters out of the political process and thereby silencing their ability to influence our future.
No matter what side of the aisle you’re on, we should all agree that voting should not be a partisan issue.
