Just in the last few weeks, CREW has uncovered the full cost to taxpayers for former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s controversial “Madison Dinners,” which featured wealthy political donors and business executives. CREW exposed Toyota’s donations to the Sedition Caucus (the most of any company) and launched a social media campaign that led to Toyota agreeing to stop donating to members of Congress who rejected the election results. CREW uncovered the Secret Service’s failure to take seriously the threat of violence ahead of the insurrection, called on the DOJ’s Inspector General to investigate the politicization of FOIA processes, along with many more impactful actions.
