Earlier this week, Senate Republicans failed to vote to proceed to debate the "bipartisan" infrastructure bill, carefully negotiated between Democrats and 11 Republican Senators to garner the 60 votes in the Senate needed to overcome the filibuster.

The bill is inadequate alone to meet the climate and environmental justice challenges we face ? it included some important investments, but falls short in just about every possible way on climate change. And in spite of that? Republican votes just haven't materialized.

Next up ? the most important climate votes in years. Also moving forward is a budget "reconciliation" bill ? one that can pass with 50 votes (and no Republican support). One that is more ambitious. One that will adequately advance clean energy, green jobs, and environmental justice.

Winning that vote will depend on you, friend. LCV field teams are working in swing states around the country, turning out volunteers, flooding Senate offices with calls and letters, placing billboard ads, and running digital campaigns.
