Team,
We all witnessed Donald Trump hurt our nation’s democracy last year by lying about the integrity of our elections after he lost. As harmful as that was, what worries me even more is how his refusal to accept the results has seeped into the rest of the Republican party.
New reporting shows that of the nearly 700 Republicans who have filed paperwork to run for Congress next year, at least one-third have embraced Trump’s false claim about his defeat.
This is extremely dangerous. The central GOP policy priority is quickly becoming the overturning of election results and changing the rules when they don’t go their way.
Next year’s elections are more than just a midterm. They’re a fight for the future of free and fair elections in this country. Will you chip in today to re-elect me and help protect the Democratic majority? [[link removed]]

Republicans running for office around the country are open about their intention to overturn election results they don’t like.
In Arizona, Secretary of State candidate Shawnna Bolick proposed legislation that would give the legislature the power to set aside the popular vote and choose its own presidential electors.
In Virginia, House of Delegates candidate Wren Williams defeated a 14-year incumbent in the Republican primary, and is widely expected to win the seat in the general election. His central campaign message was criticizing the incumbent for not spreading Trump’s lies about the election.
Republicans know the public doesn’t agree with them on the issues, so the only avenue to keep them in power is to tip the scales in their favor.
If we lose control of Congress next year, Republicans will be determined to do permanent damage to our electoral system. Will you contribute today so we can make sure that doesn’t happen? [[link removed]]
