FirstEnergy finally admitted to it, Friend.



FirstEnergy admitted it paid millions of dollars to elected state officials so they would pursue nuclear bailout legislation and other policies.



FirstEnergyagreed to pay a $230 million fine <[link removed]> for bribing former House Speaker Larry Householder and former Public Utilities Commission of Ohio chairman Sam Randazzo. 



According to the deferred prosecution agreement <[link removed]>, FirstEnergy and one of its subsidiaries together paid more than $59 million a the dark money nonprofit which the company knew was operated for the benefit of Larry Householder.



New court filings confirm that FirstEnergy paid a $4.3 million bribe to former Public Utility Commission of Ohio Chairman Sam Randazzo <[link removed]> in exchange for Randazzo’s help developing a strategy and legal language for House Bill 6



If House Bill 6 remains, the only thing we have learned is that $230 million is all it takes to get bills passed in Ohio



The agreement is packed with rich descriptions, cheeky text exchanges and a detailed money trail <[link removed]>. FirstEnergy signed the agreement and admitted to the facts. 



The acting district attorney said FirstEnergy would not be allowed do use customer money to pay the fine - one of the conditions that the company must adhere to in order to have the charges eventually dropped. We will be watching to make sure that not one ratepayer cent will be used.



It is now up to Governor DeWine and the Ohio Legislature to take action
