Right now, we’re witnessing an incredible moment: Henry Cuellar, one of
Big Oil’s favorite Democrats, is being forced to run TV ads defending his
record on climate change.
That’s an amazing victory. Cuellar’s team knows his brazen pandering to
Koch Industries PAC and other fossil fuel billionaires is toxic with
Democratic voters — and now, thanks to Jessica Cisneros’ challenge, he’s
finally being forced to address it.
Here’s the bad news though: he’s gaslighting everyone. His ads are
bold-faced lies, arguing that moderate, centrist talking points approved
by fossil fuel corporations can deal with the climate crisis. Nope.

and defend the Green New Deal as the only plan that rises to the challenge

The only reason that Cuellar can even pay for these ads is because he
takes hundreds of thousands in corporate PAC donations from the same
corporations he’s defending.
While we don’t know how much Cuellar raised last quarter yet, we do know
that he had at least $3,000,000 on hand in Q2 ready to blast progressive
priorities like the Green New Deal.

help elect progressive leaders who won’t fall for Big Oil’s anti-GND

It’s us versus the powerful special interests — and we’re all going to
