Last week, millions of American families saw hundreds of dollars deposited directly into their bank accounts thanks to the expanded Child Tax Credit under the American Rescue Plan.

Faced with an unprecedented public health crisis and incredible economic hardship, Democrats came together to deliver relief to American families. And for the first time ever, we expanded the Child Tax Credit to put monthly payments of up to $300 per child into the hands of 90% of American households.

As a lead sponsor of the expanded Child Tax Credit, I couldn’t be more excited. And as Chair of NewDems, you better believe we’ve made this a huge priority on Capitol Hill.
