We set aggressive fundraising goals to keep Ro on the road and focused on
his great work in Congress, and our movement strong. But right now, we’re
not on pace to be there by the 31st.

This month, that’s something we have to really pay attention to. As you’ve
definitely heard by now, Ro officially has a primary challenger for his
seat. That means it’s time for us to show the power of our movement, and
raise as much as possible to build a community-first, grassroots movement
to win this thing.

I don’t have to tell you that fundraising numbers are a display of
strength for most candidates. And in Ro’s case, we’re already at an
optical disadvantage. Every cycle, we leave millions of dollars on the
table because we refuse 100% of corporate PAC donations.

Is that the right thing to do? Hell yes. But it doesn’t change the fact
that when the pundits and our opponents look at the fundraising
scoreboard, we’re lower than another Democrat who’s willing to sell out to
Amazon or Walmart.
