Here are
three facts about our country that show why our progresive movement is so
necessary:

 1. At the current federal minimum wage, you’d need to work almost 2.5
full-time jobs just to afford the average 2-bedroom apartment.
 2. We’re the richest country in the world. And yet every year, an average
of 29% of Americans have to choose between paying for medication or
other basic needs.
 3. Instead of funding college for all, Medicare for All, or full-fledged
climate action, the U.S. spends more on defense than the next 11
countries combined.

American families can’t afford for things to stay this way. We need
progress – and we’ll only achieve it by educating, advocating, organizing,
and keeping bold progressive voices like Ro’s in the halls of power. Doing
all of that requires resources.
