American Airlines, other companies resume donations to Republicans who objected to election results (Washington Post)
Corporate PAC donations come from employee contributions, rather than company money, and are capped at $10,000 per candidate in an election cycle. The American Airlines PAC spent $771,000 in the 2020 cycle, according to OpenSecrets. Of that, $529,000 went to federal candidates, with 53 percent flowing to Republicans.

House Republicans outraise Democrats in midterms funding battle (Financial Times)
“Republicans would be expected to do well if trends hold up,” said Brendan Glavin, a senior data analyst at OpenSecrets, a non-partisan research group. History favoured the party out of power in congressional elections after the first two years of the presidency, Mr Glavin said.

The UAE has spent $101.6 million on U.S. foreign agents since 2016, according to OpenSecrets, ranking it among the top 10 spenders. Its embassy in Washington paid $6.9 million to the law firm Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP last year for advice on issues including U.S. sanctions on Iran, export controls and possible arms sales and its termination of relations with Qatar, disclosures filed with the Justice Department show.
