This morning, WMUR released a new poll that shows Senator Hassan down by one point:

Hassan (D): 48%
Sununu (R): 49%

Republicans like Mike Pence, Mitch McConnell, and Tom Cotton are trying to entice Chris Sununu to run against Maggie Hassan.

Since Maggie only unseated a Republican by 1,017 votes in her last election, GOP leadership thinks she’s vulnerable -- and that they can flip this seat to take back the Senate majority and stack the Supreme Court with ultra-conservative justices.

When polls come out that show Maggie behind -- even if they’re within the margin of error like this one is -- we have to respond. Democrats cannot hold the Senate majority if Maggie loses, so there is just too much on the line not to.
