Yesterday House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy doubled down on protecting domestic terrorists instead of upholding democracy. When two of McCarthy’s picks, who are vehement election deniers and insurrection defenders, were rejected to serve on the January 6th select committee, McCarthy responded by saying the GOP won’t take part in the investigation if Democrats won’t accept the members he appointed. 



McCarthy’s true colors are showing. He never wanted the American people to know the truth. He blatantly chose people who refused to certify our election and would stonewall the committee’s findings. 



The American people deserve to be governed by principled leaders who will stand up for what is right. 



Liz Cheney was right when she said “any person who would be third in line to the presidency must demonstrate a commitment to the Constitution and a commitment to the rule of law, and minority leader McCarthy has not done that.” McCarthy is dangerous and we’re committed to ensuring he doesn’t become speaker of the House in 2022.
