We need to act fast, John.
Here’s what’s happening:
First, the Supreme Court announced that this fall, they will be hearing an
abortion case concerning a controversial Mississippi law that bans most
abortions after just 15 weeks. This court case threatens the future
validity of Roe v. Wade and the reproductive rights we’ve fought hard to
protect.
Then, Republicans started passing a record number of bills in local
legislatures across the country to ban access to abortion services. With a
conservative supermajority on the Supreme Court — there is a real chance
Roe v. Wade will be dismantled and these bills would become fully
effective.
So now, we need to hold our Democratic majorities accountable to the
promise they made to serve the women who stepped up to put them in office.
That’s why we’re collecting signatures from Women’s Marchers all across
the country to add onto our petition demanding Congress to pass the
Women’s Health Protection Act. We need Congress to act quickly to protect
our reproductive rights that are under attack right now — especially
before our conservative Supreme Court starts hearing this case.
[ [link removed] ]Can you represent xxxxxx and add your name to our petition? It’s going to
take a powerful show of grassroots support to make sure we pass the
Women’s Health Protection Act in time and save our reproductive freedom.
