Tell Congress:
"The care economy is the foundation of our economy, supporting millions of seniors and people with disabilities. At the same time, care workers―who are predominantly women and people of color―are underpaid, often living below the poverty line. Congress must include and pass the Better Care Better Jobs Act through budget reconciliation and fulfill President Biden’s commitment to investing in our care economy."

John,
A lack of investment in our care economy has left seniors and people with disabilities without the ability to remain in their homes and stay active in their communities. Meanwhile, care workers have long been underpaid―disproportionately impacting women and people of color.
We have an opportunity to finally address this urgent matter.
Join CHN and our national coalition to demand Congress protect seniors and people with disabilities! Add your name! Tell Congress to pass the Better Care Better Jobs Act!
Here's the problem: large coverage gaps currently exist in home care for seniors and people with disabilities, with each state setting a cap on the number of individuals who can receive these critical services.
Rep. Debbie Dingell and Sen. Bob Casey have introduced the Better Care Better Jobs Act to strengthen and expand access to Medicaid home- and community-based care services, and provide better pay and benefits for the direct care workforce. This legislation will boost Medicaid funding for home- and community-based care services.
Together, we must raise our voices and demand Congress act! Only when thousands of people demand action, will members of Congress finally act on our shared priorities. John, do you have 30 seconds to add your name to demand Congress include the Better Care Better Jobs Act in the upcoming reconciliation package?
This critical legislation helps fulfill President Biden’s commitment to investing in our care economy, which provides dignity to seniors and people with disabilities, keeps people active in their communities, and ensures better pay and economic stability for some of our lowest-paid but essential workers.
Thank you for all you do to fight for families, marginalized people and communities.
