It seems obvious, doesn’t it? Burning fossil fuels contributes to catastrophic flooding, wildfires, deadly air pollution, climate refugees, ecosystem collapse... The list goes on.
And yet the powerful few, made rich through fossil fuel investment, are sacrificing humanity’s future to get even richer.
That's why Extinction Rebellion will be back on the streets of London from 23rd August to demand that the UK stop all new fossil fuel investment immediately.
Change might seem impossible. But we are not powerless.
Bankers and politicians might ignore the science, but if there are enough of us they can’t ignore the people.
This Rebellion is hugely ambitious - it has to be. But Rebellions cost money.

Why is your donation so important?

We need to inspire the whole of the UK to back this Rebellion, with advertising, banners, educational flyers, bus stop and tube posters, stickers and artwork
- We need to support young and low income people to travel to London
- We need audacious structures to grab attention and to help us hold spaces
- We need to equip kitchens to feed people on the ground
- We need to set up safe spaces, to provide information, support and training, to print artwork and hold people’s assemblies
- We need ramps and accessible toilets to help disabled people take part
- We need to support essential volunteers with basic living expenses, while they give up paid work to stand up for us all
