Social media bans have rallied the alt-right before, we need to be able to respond

Marcus Flowers for Congress

John, this is a big moment, but not for the reasons you may think. Marjorie Taylor Greene was temporarily suspended from Twitter usage earlier this week for spreading information about the COVID-19 vaccinations, likening them to “human experimentation.”

Time and time again, healthcare professionals and scientists have proven not only the vaccine’s effectiveness, but its safety, and I’m grateful that Twitter has made the correct decision in limiting the spread of false information to the public, especially those at risk. However, we’ve seen alt-right leaders like Donald Trump use social media bans like this to rally their followers, and we’d be naive to not assume that Marjorie Taylor Greene won't try and do the same.

This could potentially fire up her supporters.

She’s off Twitter but we need her out of office. Can you chip in $10 to help defeat Marjorie Taylor Greene and her misinformation?

Misinformation and conspiracy theories have no place in Georgia, specifically when it can greatly impact our public health.

Thank you,
