Mayor Cantrell has high expectations for infrastructure contractors.

Many New Orleanians have shared concerns with the mayor about contractors leaving streets and drainage projects unfinished or construction sites unclean, or about these projects blocking driveways and interfering with daily life. Mayor Cantrell has a clear message to contractors: she has high standards for them, and she will take action to make sure they are held to those standards.

"New Orleans is a city of rich culture, tradition and strong sense of community. Together, we have worked hard to build back stronger and to raise our standard of living. These improvements come with increasingly higher expectations from residents and visitors alike for the services that we provide. As City contractors, you are held to the same high standard when working on infrastructure projects for the Department of Public Works, Capital Projects or the Sewerage & Water Board."
-Mayor LaToya Cantrell

Mayor Cantrell cares deeply about residents' quality of life, and streets and drainage are a big part of that. That's why she's made infrastructure a top priority during her time in office. She's secured huge funding for infrastructure improvements through the #FairShare agreement and overseen the completion of numerous repairs and improvement projects.

The people of New Orleans deserve a leader who will work to ensure that streets and drainage projects are completed in full and on time. LaToya Cantrell is that leader. Donate to her re-election campaign today to help make sure that she can continue being the leader we need right now.
