We want to take a minute to explain why making your first donation to our campaign today will go a long way, if you’re able to pitch in.
- The primary is less than a year away, and hitting our July 2021 goal is a critical step in our plan to strengthen our campaign, fight back against dark money and disinformation, and win. If we fall short, we may need to scale back our plans — and we need to be prepared for anything the GOP throws at us this cycle.
- Our campaign isn’t just active when it’s a voting year. We use your contributions to invest in keeping organizing staff on the ground, continuing volunteer work year-round, and building momentum for key policies across the country.
- Our fundraising model depends on $5, $10, and $15 donations at a time. 82% of all the money we’ve raised has come from small-dollar donors. That’s a higher percentage than anyone else — Republican or Democrat — in the House. We don’t take money from corporate PACS, lobbyists, energy interests or real estate developers, or from law enforcement sources.
We understand that not everyone is in the place to make a donation right now, and we completely understand. But our fundraising is not where it needs to be, so if you’re able to make your first donation of $3 — or anything you can — it will go a long way in helping to hit our July 2021 goal and power our campaign to keep Alexandria in Congress.
