Did you read this breaking news article that detailed Mike Garcia's latest scandal?

During the 2020 election cycle, Mike Garcia failed to properly disclose his stock trades and finances. Yes, you read that right. He deliberately deceived the residents of this district when he did not disclose the specific stocks that he owned or sold since his election to Congress.

That is a clear violation of the 2012 Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge (STOCK) Act which requires members of Congress to disclose their stock transactions within 45 days of their sale or purchase.

But wait, there's more to the story, and it only gets worse. Not only did Mike fail to reveal his stock trades in time, but he strategically waited until after the election was over and finally disclosed them on November 23 -- almost three weeks after the 2020 election.

Turns out, along with his re-election campaign last summer, Mike was busy buying up stock in companies that allowed him to make hundreds of thousands of dollars in gains. And he didn't want voters to know about it.

John, I'll be honest with you, I am not surprised. Mike's only goal in Congress has been to satisfy Republicans and make sure Trump's happy with him at the end of the day. He's lost sight of even his own campaign promise of draining out the swamp. Instead, he has become the swamp.

Mike's latest scandal hurts because not only did he violate ethics law, he lied to you, John. If you're sick and tired of elected officials like Mike Garcia abusing the trust of their constituents only to personally enrich themselves, it's time to elect a leader who knows better.
