President Biden nominated Montana’s very own Tracy Stone-Manning to become the next Director of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), a role that is crucial in overseeing and protecting our nation’s public lands — and the thousands of good-paying jobs right here in Montana that depend on them.

As someone who has worked with Tracy, I know she is a thoughtful and hardworking champion who will return integrity and responsible stewardship to the Bureau of Land Management.

But Republicans like Senator Steve Daines are playing politics and standing in the way of her confirmation.

Tomorrow, the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources will vote to move Tracy’s confirmation forward. Will you add your name right now to demand Steve Daines, who sits on the committee, stop playing political games and vote to confirm Tracy?

Donald Trump’s pick to lead the BLM — William Perry Pendley — was never confirmed by the Senate and used the position to push his extreme anti-public lands agenda while serving illegally.

Now, we have the opportunity to send a life-long advocate for the public lands that drive our economy from right here in the Treasure State to oversee the BLM and ensure our public lands stay in public hands. The only problem? Steve Daines is standing in the way.

Daines has cynically led the charge to try and sink Tracy’s confirmation. We need to come together and raise our voices before tomorrow’s vote to show him that Montanans want to see Tracy confirmed.
