Last week, a nearly 20-year-long Democratic battle became a reality when the first Child Tax Credit checks went out to working families, a critical step in our COVID recovery efforts that will cut child poverty in half.

I couldn’t be prouder to have voted for this legislation, and I know the Child Tax Credit has already begun helping more than 600,000 families in Kansas.
