Hello —
Since the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program was introduced, it has protected more than 800,000 children who were brought to the United States at a young age and know no other home.
But last Friday, a federal judge in Texas ruled the DACA program unlawful and blocked the Department of Homeland Security from approving new applicants.
Now, it looks like it could be up to the right-wing Supreme Court with judges hand-picked by Trump to decide the fate of DACA — putting thousands of Dreamers at risk of deportation to a country they may not even remember.
That’s wrong. We can’t turn our backs on the thousands of young people who are a part of our communities. The United States is their home. Congress must act with urgency to protect Dreamers.
Add your name to John’s petition demanding Congress protect DACA and create a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers.
Thanks for standing by us on this critical issue.
