Conditions like the ones we’ve been seeing this past week and will continue to see are glaring reminders of the threat of climate change. The systems around us are failing us. We need to make real investments not just in our subways and bridges, but the people who continue to keep Brooklyn running. 

We need infrastructure. That means expanding paid leave, ensuring protections for care workers and laborers, as well as making necessary improvements to the roads, bridges, and subways around us that can withstand the effects of climate change.
