John,
In response to Republican attempts to corrupt our redistricting process, multiple organizations across Kansas sent a joint letter outlining steps our state should take to ensure constituent participation and equity for all Kansans during redistricting. The organizations included The Kansas Hispanic and Latino American Affairs Commission, the Kansas African American Affairs Commission, and the Kansas Commission on Disability Concerns.
Steps outlined in the letter:
The letter states, “These steps are not egregious in their scope and should be considered to ensure Kansans have confidence in the procedures that will shape our collective future." We must band together as a state to fight for an equitable redistricting process-- despite Republican attempts to corrupt it.
