Folks,

I know how important it is for our older Iowans to have access to the benefits they’ve paid into their whole careers – but since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, I’ve heard stories from constituents who have been unable to get the benefits or assistance they need when working with the Social Security Administration.

While it's true that not all Iowans have access to the high-speed internet connection necessary to navigate these benefits online (which is why I’m fighting to expand access to broadband through our infrastructure legislation), and I know our Iowa SSA offices are doing all they can — older Iowans must be able to call and get an answer when they need help.

As I remind Iowans that my team is here to help with any Social Security issues you or a loved one may be having, I want to hear from you.

Have you had trouble contacting the Social Security Administration in the past year?

Be well,

Cindy
