John,
An overhaul of our country’s infrastructure is long overdue.
We live in the greatest country in the world, yet our roads and bridges are crumbling. We have outdated and dangerous water systems that put our drinking water at risk and entire communities without broadband. All while our schools and public buildings are falling apart from a lack of maintenance and care.
That’s why it’s so important that the U.S. Senate takes action to pass a big, bold infrastructure plan — to rebuild our infrastructure from the ground-up and create good-paying union jobs at the same time. But this week, Republican lawmakers, like Mitch McConnell, are pumping the brakes on what could be transformative legislation, putting its chances of becoming law and providing good-paying jobs at risk.
As Val travels Pennsylvania talking to workers and families, she’s having conversations about the enormous resources and jobs bold infrastructure investment would bring.
This isn’t the time for Republicans to play partisan games. The Senate needs to pass a bold infrastructure package as soon as possible to help the folks who are counting on the opportunities and new jobs that will come with it.
If you agree, will you add your name next to Val’s to support passing a once-in-a-generation infrastructure plan?
Thanks for speaking out.
