Keep Our Communities Thriving!

** Shop Local — Support Small Businesses!
------------------------------------------------------------

July means that summer is in full swing! The days are longer and warmer and folks are ready to be out in the great outdoors! I have been spending a lot of time all over the great state of Colorado. Especially southern Colorado. It does my heart good to see our businesses coming back to life and not only surviving but thriving. Many small businesses across the area have created plans, gotten people back to work, and kicked things up a notch.

As we enjoy our communities and all they have to offer, we must do our part to keep our small businesses supported. Shop local, eat local, enjoy local! No matter where I am in Colorado, you can bet I am following the locals to their favorite spots.

** Recently, I was able to attend the soft launch for the 1874 Distillery in Del Norte, Colorado. What a great addition to that community!
------------------------------------------------------------

** While in Alamosa, I got a haircut from one of the best barbers around — Nick Mondragon.
------------------------------------------------------------
Keeping our dollars local means directly supporting and promoting businesses and business owners. Money spent in our communities can then stay in our communities. This benefits everyone.

** Help for Small Businesses
------------------------------------------------------------

There are many resources for businesses that may still be feeling the impact of the COVID 19 pandemic.

"The Colorado SBDC Network is here to help businesses that have been affected by recent disasters in Colorado including response to the current health crisis. Our consultants and partners including the SBA and the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade provide services to assist with disaster loan applications, long-term planning, insurance navigation, physical and economic loss estimations, business preparedness, and more." – Colorado SBDC
