We just got our first look at Thom Tillis’ fundraising numbers, and it’s really good news for our campaign. Take a look:
Last quarter, we kept pace with Tillis -- again! -- despite our opponent having the support of every right-wing billionaire in Mitch McConnell’s rolodex.
We started this campaign from scratch just a few months ago. Now, three consecutive polls show us in the lead, two election forecasters moved our race to “toss-up” status, and we’re holding our own financially.
We were only able to keep pace with Tillis’ fundraising because an incredible number of supporters like you stepped up to pitch in small-dollar gifts to our campaign. But we can’t afford to slow down. Can Cal and our team count on you to make a contribution today?
An incumbent like Tillis has so many advantages and for our campaign to keep pace with his fundraising is just incredible. We’re especially proud that more than 4,000 North Carolinians chipped in to support Cal’s team this quarter. You should be proud, too.
We have a lot of work left to do to win this thing, but today’s news is just another example of how close we are breaking this race wide open.
