John xxxxxx,

This is not the first campaign I’ve managed; last year, I managed a Congressional campaign in my home state of Tennessee. Back then, I wasn’t vocal about my identity, but that changed when I joined Kimberly’s campaign and made the news by being the first openly trans* person to manage a U.S. Senate campaign.
I’m not alone in making history for trans people in politics. Across the country, members of our community are joining political causes and campaigns because we are under attack by the current administration, and the stakes have never been higher.

I moved to Iowa because I believe in Kimberly. She’s a truly progressive candidate who intends to act on behalf of our community’s interests. She’s vowed to push for the Equality Act and to ban conversion therapy.

As a U.S. Senator, Kimberly will fight tirelessly for the rights of our community. And with my help, our community can potentially gain more influence over the U.S. Senate via her election. We have the chance now to make meaningful change for trans people across this country. Kimberly is the progressive candidate in this race, with the best shot at beating Joni. Our campaign is focused on addressing the climate crisis, ending tariffs that threaten our economy, ensuring universal, single payer healthcare, and, of course, civil rights.

I’m writing to you today to personally ask my community to stand up and support Kimberly, even if you’re not in Iowa.

Let’s make history together, as a community united against the hate and ignorance that must be rooted out.

In solidarity,

Samantha
