Friend,
We are shocked by this quarter's political donations report. Despite many companies promising to reevaluate their giving strategy following Jan. 6, Big Business is once again backing Republican insurrectionists.
Since Jan. 6, GOP seditionists have received a whopping $5,430,211 from 284 companies including Boeing, Walmart, and Comcast. Many of these companies committed to either cut off or restructure their donations to the 147 members of Congress who voted not to certify the results of the 2020 election.
Why the flip-flop?
It's simple, really: corporate America is well aware of how slim the progressive majority is, and they don't want to risk falling out of favor with the GOP if the House and Senate turn red in November.
This cynical politicking cannot go unchallenged, friend. If Big Business is willing to forgive and forget the insurrection at the Capitol, then as progressives we must hold these companies directly responsible for their role in allowing violent far-right extremism to thrive. More importantly, we have to show up in full force this November to protect our razor-thin majorities in the House and Senate.
Friend, we're reaching out to you directly for help with this. When Democrats Turn Out is galvanizing a nationwide grassroots army to fight back against far-right extremists and their unprincipled financiers by electing strong progressives who will govern with conscience. But if we can't get our bold leaders the resources they need to win, our movement won't stand against the corporate machine.

The odds are against us, Friend, there's no doubt about it. But with your support, and the support of progressives across the nation, we will win. Thank you for standing with us.
