Friend,

When you’re a candidate for office, you get to hear other people tell your story all day long — and let me tell you, that’s not always pleasant. As you know, millions of dollars were spent last year to convince Kentucky voters that I was someone to be afraid of.

After November, I took some time to think about what I wanted to do next. And one thing I wanted to do was tell my story in my own words. That’s why I’m thrilled to tell you that my memoir, Honor Bound: An American Story of Dreams and Service , will be published by Knopf next month.

It means the world to me to be able to share this with supporters like you, who over the last few years helped drive me and were always there to remind me what I was fighting for — even on the toughest days on the trail.

We wanted to give supporters like you an opportunity to secure an early copy of my book — if you’re interested, click here to pre-order Honor Bound . [[link removed]]

This book covers a lot of ground, and I want to thank my co-author Chris Peterson for helping me navigate it. We go all the way back to my childhood growing up in Edgewood, Kentucky, where I fell in love with Reds baseball and, at age 12, became fascinated with fighter jets. I recount the story of learning about a federal law that prohibited me from flying in combat because I was a woman, and what drove me to fight to change that law — and even write my senator, Mitch McConnell (from whom I’m still waiting on a meaningful reply).

There’s a lot in here about my time serving this country in uniform, my combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, and what it was like to finally fly the fighter jet as I had dreamed of doing. And, of course, I write a lot about why Erik, the kids, and I moved back to Kentucky and made the tough decision to enter politics.

People ask me a lot how I lost a heartbreaking election and got back up and took on a greater challenge in the Senate race two years later. And you’ll find out that this book is called Honor Bound for a reason, because the moment I raised my right hand to swear to defend the U.S. Constitution still guides my career. This is my story, on my terms, but a whole lot of this book wouldn’t have been possible if it weren’t for people like you.

Honor Bound is available in all formats, including audio book — click here if you would like to pre-order it now. [[link removed]]

Thank you for sharing so much of the last few years fighting alongside me. I’m forever grateful.
Amy
