John, I’m going to the U.S. Senate to solve problems for everyone across our country.

There’s no better way to do that than to sit down with Pennsylvanians to hear the challenges and successes they’re experiencing in their lives and their businesses. It’s so important to hear firsthand what we can do in Washington to make it a little bit easier for folks to get ahead.

That’s why our campaign just kicked off our Commonwealth Conversations Tour — to make sure everyone has a seat at the table and everyone is heard.

This team’s support is what’s making this possible, so I wanted to share some snapshots from from the tour so far:

First up, I visited a solar farm in Lancaster County to learn more about the role Pennsylvania’s renewable energy installations play in combating climate change and creating the sustainable jobs of the future.

Next, we headed to the Carpenters Training Center in Pittsburgh — which you may recognize from President Joe Biden’s event announcing his bold infrastructure package — to talk about good-paying union jobs, infrastructure investment, and workforce development. It was clear that people on the ground are ready to build back better.

In Erie County, I held a roundtable with minority-owned business leaders and Erie County Executive Kathy Dahlkemper to discuss how I can better support these businesses in the U.S. Senate. I also checked out the LEAF Open Market and talked to local vendors about their businesses.

In my home county, I attended the first-ever Bucks-Mont PRIDE Festival! We must never forget that our LGBTQ+ friends and loved ones still don’t have equal protection under the law, and I’ll fight every day to change that.

I also stopped by Tannery Run Brew Works with Mayor Jeanne Sorg. They have a mission behind everything they do (and brew!) — from advocating for water conservation to making sure women have a place in the brewing industry. And the beer tastes great, too!

That’s where our Commonwealth Conversations Tour has taken us so far, but it’s far from over — because this campaign is all about the conversations I’m having with Pennsylvanians.

With gratitude,

Val

P.S. Your support makes it possible for us to travel the state, and we’ve got a lot more miles to cover to hear from folks about what support they need from their next U.S. Senator. Can you chip in today to keep our campaign fueled up and criss-crossing Pennsylvania?
