You hear a lot of bad news from my team and me. That is because we would not be doing our jobs if we were not honest with you about the stakes of losing this critical seat in Congress.

I know I do not have to tell you that climate change is not an issue we can sit idly by on. I have read your responses to my priorities survey, so I know climate change is a top issue for our grassroots team.

In Congress, we have been working hard on solutions that will create jobs and combat climate change without putting the burden on the American people.

I was proud to pass the INVEST Act, which included my FutureFit the Suburbs priorities, through the House.

This legislation includes investments in bus rapid transit, regional greenways, and clean energy technology.

We are just getting started, and there are still a lot of policy battles ahead of us here in Congress. My top priority has always been the hardworking families of Georgia. I want my son — and all of our children — to have a future on this planet.
