Dear John,

From record-breaking heat to devastating storms, we’re feeling the effects of climate change, in California and across the country -- but we're not all feeling it equally. Low-income communities and communities of color have been hit hardest, and have the fewest resources to manage the effects. And it's only going to get worse -- unless we take bold action now.

While it’s important that we fight against climate change, we must also work towards environmental justice. This means ensuring every community is as prepared as possible to face dangerous weather when it does come, advocating for fair labor protections, and guaranteeing access to clean water and healthy, affordable food.

That’s why I’m fighting so hard for climate-resilient infrastructure, a green economy, and utility justice. We can make this vision a reality, but it's going to take all hands on deck -- including yours. Can we count on you?
We have a lot of work ahead of us, but I know we can do it together.

Let’s get to it,
Judy
