Tell Majority Leader Chuck Schumer:
We demand any bipartisan compromise must include the fight for climate justice and equity. Do not compromise our values and undermine the fight against climate change and for racial and economic equity proposed by President Biden in his American Jobs Plan.

John,
The U.S. Senate is expected to vote on the bipartisan infrastructure package this week.
Reports have come out of Washington indicating Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer is considering making the bipartisan infrastructure bill worse—not better.
Here's why this may happen: In an attempt to overcome Republican opposition, Majority Leader Schumer may compromise our values and significantly cut back on the legislation, undermining provisions of the bill that fight against climate change and for racial and economic equity.
Join CHN and our national coalition to remind Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer what we are fighting for. Together, we are demanding that this legislation prioritize climate justice and equity.
We will not tolerate a compromise that undermines our basic goals. Failure to include strong environmental provisions, for example, will once again leave people with low incomes and communities of color to bear the brunt of climate change. Without strong clean energy provisions, we will see more life-threatening heat, more fires, and more extreme storms and flooding. Those can affect everyone, but their impact on people with the lowest incomes and communities of color is far more harsh.
President Biden has committed not to “double dip," meaning anything the Senate compromise cuts back on, but doesn’t eliminate, will not be included through reconciliation later. That makes this battle urgent.
John, we must take action now. Do you have 30 seconds to send a clear message to Senator Schumer? Tell the Majority Leader not to compromise our shared values! Add your name!
Only by raising our voices together can we get the leaders of Congress to take action. Thank you for all you do to fight for families, marginalized people and communities.
