Jeff Bezos made $1.6 million in the 11 minutes he was in space.
Jeff Bezos just went to space for 11 minutes. His rocket launched to much fanfare. And in that 11 minutes, he made around $1.6 million.
He’s not the only billionaire blasting off either. Richard Branson and Elon Musk are two other billionaires trying to get to space while not paying their fair share in taxes.
Bezos paid less than 1% in federal taxes last year. That means many Amazon factory workers paid a higher percentage in taxes than the billionaire space explorer. It’s clear: It’s time to pass a Wealth Tax to ensure the ultra-rich pay their fair share of taxes. We can use that money to invest in health care, education, housing, child care, and more in BIG ways.
If you agree that we need to immediately pass my Wealth Tax bill, please chip in $11 right now. That’s one dollar for every minute Bezos was in space. Let’s send the ultra-rich a clear sign that we’re ready to level the playing field.
Contribute $11
$11 is nothing to Bezos, Branson, and Musk. But in our fight to transform this country so it works for working people, $11 goes a long way. That’s especially true when people like you reading this email step up and each give $11 all at once.
Will you chip in to this fight for a Wealth Tax today? Donate $11 and help us build our campaign for a more equitable America.
