John,

Big Tobacco has lied to the public for decades using slick advertising and PR campaigns. Those lies have cost millions of lives, and now they’re running the same playbook again.

Global tobacco giant Philip Morris International is brazenly running a massive ad campaign claiming they’re the good guys and promising to fight for a “smoke-free future.”

Yes, you read that right! Underneath the flowery language and false promises, here are the facts: Philip Morris sells over 620 billion cigarettes each year, contributing to over 8 million deaths annually worldwide. And they make over $21 billion doing so.

We’ve been fighting tobacco companies in the United States and around the world for 25 years – so we know this new disinformation campaign is an urgent threat. And we’ll need a surge of grassroots support to fight back!

Make a monthly sustaining donation of $25 now. Your generous gift will give us the resources necessary to expose Big Tobacco’s barrage of lies and hold them accountable.

We need to make something clear: Failing to respond to Big Tobacco’s deceptive campaign is NOT an option.

There’s just too much at stake. The FDA is deciding right now whether to eliminate flavored e-cigarettes – products that have fueled a youth addiction crisis. The FDA also announced a historic commitment to eliminate menthol cigarettes and flavored cigars.

Big Tobacco is spending millions to defeat these and other life-saving health policies we’re fighting for in the U.S. and globally. We cannot risk letting their disinformation drown us out.

That’s why your help needs to come today. The tobacco industry is terrified of the progress we’re making, and the massive amounts of money they're spending shows they won't go down without a fight. Your involvement in our fight is crucial to making sure we can save lives and hold Big Tobacco accountable.

Sincerely,

Laurie Rubiner
