Hi there:
Former President Trump has renewed his spread of disinformation about the 2020 election. In an interview with the Washington Post, he called the election "rigged, "stolen," and "the greatest fraud ever perpetrated in this country."
His comments are not just provably wrong, they're deeply dangerous.
As Secretary of State, I have a duty to call out mass disinformation about the election. Silence would signal indifference. I’m going to keep speaking out against false information, but I need your help.

The former President must know what he's saying is untrue, but he says it anyway. That's selfish, of course, but more importantly it's corrosive. It eats away at our democracy by stoking division and degrading well-earned public trust in our election system. Unfortunately, he's misleading millions of Americans.
Here's the truth: The 2020 election was fundamentally fair, honest, accurate, and secure. In Minnesota, people demonstrated their confidence in the system by voting in record numbers - making Minnesota #1 in America in voter turnout (for the third election in a row).
Reasonable people can disagree about politics and candidates for public office. But there can be no reasonable disagreement about the overall soundness and integrity of the election process in the United States in 2020.
The former President will likely continue to spread disinformation about the election for his own benefit. It's up to all of us to speak the truth in the face of lies.
Thanks,
Steve
