Children can still be arrested and criminalized for crimes related to their victimization.

… while handcuffs, prison cells, and a life-long criminal record await the children they’ve abused and exploited.
 
We can pretend the Jeffrey Epsteins of this world don’t exist — that they aren’t buying and selling vulnerable children to satisfy their sexual desires.
 
But the truth is, they are. And far too many states — without strong laws to prosecute buyers and sellers — deny justice to victims and neglect to address the true cause of this evil.

    Here, we are building on the solid foundation of our demand and justice initiatives.
  2. Our State Report Cards.
    Every year, we publish reports detailing legal analysis and recommendations for every state in the nation. We identify and address legislative gaps and encourage states to raise their grades.
  3. Our grassroots advocacy efforts, and the expertise of our policy team.
    We are supporting states’ efforts to strengthen and implement laws effectively.
