Friend,

It’s been so moving to see the support pouring in over the last week for our Texas Democratic fighters to continue to make their stand in D.C. Democrats from all over the country have raised their voices in support, and given time, money, and energy to help push this fight forward.

I’m moved -- but frankly, Friend, I’m not surprised. This entire movement is rooted in solidarity -- and time after time, we show up for each other in a hundred different ways. We know that there’s no racial justice without voting rights -- and we show up to fight for all of it. We know that the fight for voting rights isn’t just about Texas -- it’s about every single state in this country where our most basic constitutional right is under attack.

Just like in Texas, our friends in Georgia are on the frontline of the national battle for voting rights. Georgia Democrats’ historic 2020 victory is a blueprint for Texas. But if Georgia’s Republican governor continues to slash voting rights with impunity, all that progress will be erased.

As a Texan, a native South Carolinian, and a firm believer in Southern solidarity, I’m asking you to help us keep showing up for each other. Will you split $7 or whatever you can between our team and the Georgia Democratic Party today?
