Leadership Weekly

As a deepening of systemic racism grows across the USA, much of it likely due to the success of our social change work, the backlash against it is exemplified by the campaign against critical race theory. Though the deliberate misuse of the concept may cause us to dismiss it as another outrageous attempt to maintain white privilege, some of us are paying it serious attention.

Toward that end, we want to make sure you know about the Association of Black Foundation Executives’ Emergency Funder Briefing this Thursday. We share a link to an interview with the American Civil Liberties Union on its fight against critical race theory bans. Another link goes to a story on the American Federation of Teachers fighting back. Finally, we link to an article about how the conservative movement utilizes nonprofits in its fight.
