Hello Prospect readers,

Here at the Prospect, we aim to lift up voices that get to the heart of the challenges in American policy and politics, and we expand our ability to make a difference with a range of esteemed partners.

Editorial Partnerships
Our partners at Capital & Main and Sludge extend our impact with stories cross-posted on each website, focused on inequality and labor and money in politics.

We also have ongoing partnerships with non-profit organization The Revolving Door Project, which scrutinizes the executive branch and presidential power; and The Intercept, a fellow media outlet committed to holding the powerful accountable.

Revolving Door Project contributors Max Moran, Dorothy Slater, and Eleanor Eagan have in particular been critical staples ofour political coverage focused on executive power—for example, Max Moran’s piece outlining all 277 policies for which Biden need not ask for permission, a part of our special series on executive power, the Day One Agenda.

Highlights from our partnership with The Intercept include: Staff Writer Alexander Sammon’s piece on Merrick Garland’s appointment to the DOJ, which was cited at a live confirmation hearing by Sen. Chuck Grassley. Another was Executive Editor David Dayen and The Intercept’s Ryan Grim’s collaborative piece on Big Tech critics’ alarm regarding Biden’s antitrust personnel. Lastly, former Writing Fellows Marcia Brown and Rachel Cohen wrote about how Congress can override Supreme Court decisions.

Our work with the Economic Hardship Reporting Project, whose mission is to change the national conversation around poverty and economic insecurity, includes powerful pieces and personal essays such as the corruption of the nursing home business and nursing home evictions, and the devastating digital divide in public health benefits that have left many seniors behind.

Business Partnerships
Dissent, a magazine of politics and culture, is a kindred spirit. Our writers and editors have been featured in Dissent events and we occasionally offer special packages that include their products, and vice versa.

We’ve also joined with David Sirota, a Prospect supporter, journalist, and former speechwriter and adviser to Bernie Sanders. Sirota’s newsletter, The Daily Poster, is hard-hitting investigative journalism. Here’s what he says about the Prospect:

I consider it one of the best magazines in the country. The Prospect is devoted to progressive muckraking, and it is consistently breaking big news in Washington. The magazine goes deep, giving you the details of political battles and legislative fights, and is devoted to deep coverage that makes it easy for readers to understand what’s really going on in Washington. I read it every single day”

Thanks again for reading, and we hope you’ll pledge your support by becoming a member today.
