Well, that didn't take long. Betsy DeVos is said to be considering a run for governor of Michigan.

We'll just be blunt: Betsy DeVos is the worst Secretary of Education we’ve ever had. She put for-profit colleges first, cut public school funding, and completely bungled schools' reopening plans.

Since leaving the Trump administration, DeVos has wasted no time aligning herself with far-right factions of the Republican Party. It's clear DeVos is doing everything in her power to curry favor with the Trump world by allowing them to tap into her family's massive fundraising machine.

Meanwhile, Governor Whitmer is laser-focused on putting this pandemic behind us, jumpstarting our economy, and investing in our children's futures. She just signed a historic $17.1 billion public education budget, closing a decades-long state funding gap between school districts without raising a dime in taxes.
