John,

I'm reaching out because we're facing a growing crisis. Violence in the Tigray region of Ethiopia has displaced 2 million people — and it's not abating. Many fled with nothing, facing scorching heat and violence along the way. Their children have been struggling to get enough nutritious food to survive.

Our teams are on the ground providing emergency food, medical care and more to displaced people. And for a limited time, a generous donor is TRIPLING all donations to help us reach even more children and families with the assistance they need in Ethiopia and worldwide.

I'm reaching out to you, John, because I know you care deeply about helping people in crisis survive and recover. Can we count on you to make an emergency donation and help us reach even more children and families in crisis zones like Ethiopia?

Over 4 million Ethiopian children under 5 are malnourished — and that number will continue to grow as conflict, erratic weather and COVID-19 disrupt food supply chains. If we don't take action now, these children could face the risk of starvation.

But for parents fleeing violence in the Tigray, hunger is just one of many worries. Mulu, an Ethiopian mother living in a refugee camp in Sudan, is fearful of the impact of the heavy rains on her family’s newfound safety:

"The rainy season is coming. Living in this tent and when wind gushes come… when the rain comes... this is our worry. We escaped from the war to save our kids. If a windy heavy rain falls, it will take this tent away. If I lose my kids because of heavy rain and wind... what will I be? This is what is haunting me day and night."

For families like Mulu's, access to emergency food, medical care and trauma-informed services can make all the difference. That's why we're counting on supporters like you to help us reach families with these services when and where they're needed.

John, this is a true emergency. Make your first donation today to help us provide the food, health care, and aid that families in crisis zones like Ethiopia need. Your gift will make triple the impact if you give right now:
