Dear friend,
In case you haven’t seen the news, Democratic representatives in Texas left the state to prevent a quorum in the state house. This act is their last resort to stop the passage of a bill that would impose new rules on elections through the Republican-majority legislature.
No matter where you stand on this particular issue, I’m sure you and I can agree on two things: first, that state and local politics matter — a lot — and second, that we’d all be better off if we had lawmakers who could put their differences aside to work together on the real challenges we face.
That’s why we’re hosting a virtual panel on state and local leadership on Thursday at 10am ET. Register to join us in conversation with four servant leaders who are making a difference right now.

We need more servant leaders in politics, particularly at the state and local levels, if we want to revitalize American democracy. These four panelists have demonstrated their ability to work together in two battleground states - Michigan and Florida - and we’re actively recruiting more people like them in states across the country.
We’re actively recruiting candidates to run in Republican primaries against the members of Congress who are undermining our democracy.
We hope you'll join us.
In service,
Alberto Ramos
