''As I've said before, the right to vote is the crown jewel of American liberties, and we will not see its luster diminished.'' This quote was from none other than Republican President Ronald Reagan in 1982 when he signed an extension of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 that included stronger provisions against discrimination than the original Act. Then why are members of the Party of Reagan working against these values?
Our voting rights are under attack. Because Democrats won the White House, took the Senate, and held the House, Republicans want to take away our right to vote. At least 250 new laws have been proposed in 43 states to limit mail, early in-person, and Election Day voting.
The 2020 election was the most secure in our history. We have come too far to allow voting restrictions that would unfairly target minorities and low-income areas. Will you help me stand up to the Republican-backed voting measures that would create hurdles for tens of millions of voters? Donate using this secure link: [link removed]
