The Center for Law and Social Policy (CLASP) is excited to launch our Policies Advancing Transformation and Healing (PATH) Learning Community. This year-long Learning Community will bring stakeholders together to advance policy and systems-change implementation that reimagines youth and young adult mental health systems.
CLASP invites all interested agencies and organizations to submit this form indicating their degree of interest. All agencies and organizations that submit an interest form can participate in the learning calls. Select agencies/ organizations who are prepared to implement policy changes/develop a policy change plan will be eligible to receive more intense support and technical assistance.
The PATH Learning Community was born out of the PATH initiative, a collaboration between partners to advance systems and policy changes that support well-being for transition-age youth (ages 16-17) and young adults (ages 18-24). The PATH initiative focused on expanding the concept of “health care” to include key approaches (prevention, addressing social determinants of health, physical/behavioral health integration, clinical treatment, and wellness promotion including strengths, assets, and safety) supported by essential systems-change strategies (effective adult-child system collaboration, authentic youth engagement, effective cross-sector partnership, and a racial equity/cultural relevance lens).
Benefits of participating in this learning community:
- Convene virtually 3-4 times in 2021-2022 to hear topical presentations on policy opportunities and participate in cross-state sharing and community building.
- Receive support on the development of an advocacy plan to implement a policy proposal that would make meaningful change for youth and young adults.
- Engage in one-on-one or small groups with CLASP staff and external experts to support proposal development, including CLASP's Mental Health Advisory Board members.
