Last week, 57 Democratic members of the Texas House left the state, breaking quorum in the lower chamber of the Texas Legislature and effectively putting a stop to Republicans' voter suppression bills a second time.

This doesn't happen without you. The Democratic members were able to take this courageous step because they know there are Texans like you who support voting rights. If the Dems are going to hold the line going forward, they should know you have their back as they continue this fight.

Voting is a sacred right and anything that threatens to needlessly restrict or block access to the ballot box must be rejected.

But this is not over. Gov. Abbott has already signaled he'll call another special session as soon as the current one ends, and another voter suppression bill is almost a certainty. That's why it's so important to support each other now when so much is at stake. 

Let's send a message of support today. Because democracy shouldn't be negotiable.
