Dare to Stand for a Biblical Worldview

Dear John,

When Tanner Cross dared to stand publicly for his students at Leesburg Elementary in Loudoun County, Virginia, he had no idea that choice might cost him his job.

During an open forum at his local school board meeting, Tanner commented, "I love my students, but I will never lie to them regardless of the consequences. I'm a teacher, but I serve God first -- and I will not affirm that a biological boy can be a girl and vice versa because it's against my religion, it's lying to a child, it's abuse to a child, and it's sinning against our God."

The next day, Loudoun County School District put Tanner on administrative leave (thanks to the legal efforts of our friends at Alliance Defending Freedom, he has been reinstated).

Tanner Cross put his faith in action by using his First Amendment right to advocate for his students against a proposed transgender policy. He credited his courage to the bold and unapologetic preaching of his pastor Gary Hamrick at Cornerstone Chapel.

The Sunday after Tanner's suspension, Pastor Hamrick prayed over Tanner and his wife and encouraged his congregation to live out their faith, to "take back our schools... and be ready to be salt and light," even in the face of opposition. Many in the church signed a petition against the six school board members who supported the dangerous school policy.

"To be passive is to be complicit," Pastor Hamrick stated.

At Family Research Council, we know that hope for our nation lies not in politicians, parties, or pundits but in the pulpits and pews across this nation. If we are going to see America turn back to God, it must begin in the church.

Living our faith in the public square has a ripple effect when believers dare to stand and refuse to conform to the world.

When you partner with Family Research Council, you help equip Bible-believing Americans -- teachers, pastors, parents, communities -- to live out their faith in the public square.

Will you "Dare to Stand" with FRC? Your generous gift today will help us advance a biblical worldview and protect religious liberty.

DONATE NOW

John, I stepped into the role as Executive Vice President of Family Research Council out of great concern for my six grandchildren and the next generation. There's a spiritual battle being waged in our culture -- abortion on demand, radical sex ed in public schools, gender identity ideology, and so much more.

Our nation is in crisis, but the issues we face are ultimately spiritual. As Christians, we must have the wisdom and fortitude to confront them head-on. This will take not only conviction, but resources.

The financial support you provide will help FRC to reach more Christians by:

Equipping pastors through Watchmen on the Wall to preach the whole counsel of God without apology and lead their congregations to be salt and light in their communities.

Encouraging men through our Stand Courageous ministry, which helps men develop a strong biblical character, cultivate positive habits, build relationships, and follow God's purpose and design for their lives.

Educating the church through multimedia resources like Pray Vote Stand and Washington Watch broadcasts, our prayer guides, and our Stand on the Word Bible reading plan.

Engaging the culture through the Center for Biblical Worldview, teaching Christians to view the world through a biblical lens and defend their faith in the public square.

Will you consider a tax-deductible gift and stand in this commitment with FRC?

We cannot let cowardice sacrifice the freedoms and futures of our children and grandchildren on the altar of the radical Left's woke agenda.

It is up to us to be the heroes in our churches, schools, workplaces, and communities by honoring God's commandments and defending religious freedom.

Let's leave a legacy to the next generation rooted in God's word.

And as believers in Christ, let's pray for this nation. If we want America to turn back to God, we must start with the powerful kingdom weapon of prayer.

Thank you in advance for your faithfulness and standing with us to protect faith, family, and freedom!
