Hey John,

Huge thank you to everyone who showed up to the Canvassing Training. We had a great turnout and had a lot of very important and exciting discussions about the issues Bernie is running on - what they mean to us as individuals, to the country, and to Memphis. There’s so much to go over for canvassing that we’re having a second training on Saturday, October 19th at 6:00pm at 696 N Willett street.

If you want to be involved in the campaign, **these trainings are critical!** And I’d even say we had a lot of fun on Wednesday, so come out y’all! Lastly, I want to ask folks to join the DSA For Bernie Organizing Committee! You don’t have to be a DSA member to join, it’s not a huge time commitment, and it’s an opportunity to step into leadership roles along side the other wonderful and brilliant folks making this happen here in Memphis.

I strongly encourage everyone who feels passionate about this campaign to join the committee! Everyone who has been showing up to these meetings should be on this committee cause y’all have the passion and the vision to make this campaign have a real impact in Memphis. The first committee meeting will be happening soon (next week, exact date will be decided by Sunday) to plan the official launch of the DSA For Bernie campaign and to set in stone what our broader organizing strategy is going to be. Super excited to get this campaign rolling!
